So... hey everyone.

My name is Amanda, I'm 20 years old, a junior, and (like the rest of you) an English major. I was born and raised in Charlotte. I'm hoping to go to law school once I graduate, but I suppose that depends on my GPA. And my financial situation, which already isn't looking good.

I enjoy holding myself to impossibly high standards, and although I have a tendency to put off doing things, I always bust my ass to do them perfectly once I get around to them. I'm a bit of a compulsive spender, and I'm also overly generous, especially when drinking. I love buying people presents, lunch, pretty much anything. I'm living in Chapel Ridge this year with my two best friends, and having the time of my life so far. I just bought a car though, so I'm learning how it feels to live paycheck to paycheck. Not good.

I work at Harris Teeter, the one on Airport/MLK Jr Blvd/Highway 86. So if you ever buy groceries there, you'll probably see me. I've worked at HT in Charlotte for three-ish years. Kind of dorky, but it puts food on my table. I love going out, even when I shouldn't. I also like reading, of course. I love John Steinbeck (East of Eden is probably my favorite book ever), John Irving, annd I love reading memoirs and autobiographies of interesting people. Country music is my number one guilty pleasure, I can't help it, I love ittt. I also have a really bad habit of swearing excessively, but I'm trying to work on it.

Anyway, long story short... I love to laugh and have fun, I'm fairly outgoing and usually a little loud. I really could usually care less about what people think about me, and I enjoy making a fool out of myself on a regular basis. Apparently, some people think I'm intimidating, but I swear I'm really nice. And I have extremely erratic sleep patterns and will probably end up making lots of posts at three in the morning. And this is already way long and boring, so I'll end it here.
